“Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and sorry I
could not travel both and be one traveler, long I stood….” I looked down that road my senior year of high school. I loved the arts; the challenge of creating beauty with my hands, my mind and my heart. I loved the sciences; the excitement of exploring the secrets of man and nature. I chose the second road. While never regretting a choice that made me part of a team that saves lives, the arts continued to call with their siren song. I sketched; I painted, I dabbled in the paper arts as a hobbyist. Then I discovered the thrill of creating jewelry with a new medium, precious metal clay, and the siren song beckoned again louder than ever. This time I had to answer the call. Today I work with glass, silver and stone to create unique pieces of art jewelry with organic themes that celebrate my love of science and nature. “It
is never too late to be what you might have been.”
