| Introduction to Metal Clay
We will cover: Basic use of metal clay including rolling, cutting, drying, keeping clay hydrated, making slip (paste) and reconstituting dry clay. We will also cover texturing with rubber stamps, texture sheets and mold making, burnishing and tumble polishing, setting gemstones with premade bezel cups, patination with liver of sulphur. Projects will include a pair of simple earrings, a pendant with folded bail and a pendant with attached bail set with a semiprecious stone cabochon. This is a two day intensive workshop designed to give the beginner the confidence and knowledge to create high quality, well designed art work for sale or their own personal enjoyment. $225 for a weekend class, $110 for a weekday class - plus kit fee* (or you may provide your own materials). | Advanced Metal Clay We will cover: Multilayer construction with mirror finish, Keum Boo and hollow forms. Instruction will include easy soldering techniques and making a photopolymer plate. Projects may include a 2 layer pendant ,a box style pendant, earrings with a mirror finish and soldered posts or an openwork pendant with a bezel set freeform cab. This is a two day intensive workshop designed to increase your knowledge of advanced techniques. Prerequisite: Introduction to Metal Clay or equivalent experience. $225 for a weekend class, $110 for a weekday class - plus kit fee* (or you may provide your own materials). | Findings in Metal Clay
We will cover making cones, bails, heishi, bead caps, toggles, charms and tube beads. Projects will be a beaded necklace with a lampwork focal bead and a resin filled charm. $115 for a weekday class, $65 for a weekday class - plus kit fee* (or you may provide your own materials). 7 hour class with 1 hour lunch break and seminar "Stringing 101" Prerequisite: Intro to Metal Clay or equivalent experience.

| Magnetic Cones/Clasps
Learn to make magnetic cone/clasps to enhance your beaded necklaces. Project will be a multistrand beaded necklace with a magnetic cone/clasp. $125 for a weekday class, $75 for a weekday class - plus kit fee* (or you may provide your own materials). 7 hour class with 1 hour lunch break

| Glass Beads
Introduction to lampworking: You will learn use of a stationary lampworking torch, safety, preparations of mandrels, basic bead shapes, stringers, and use of presses. As time allows you can choose to learn more advanced techniques including incorporation of silver, encasing, use of murrini and sculpting. This is a one on one workshop, you will be my only student that day. $250 for 6 to 8 hours depending on your stamina - lampworking is intense! If you choose, part of your class can be spent on an expedition to Frantz Art Glass , a supplier of glass and lampworking tools which is located in Shelton.
